New Moon Alert! Yes, it is tonight (October 4) - adding another dash of creation mojo to the energy swirling around all month long.

What is it you really want?

Do you know?

Don't think it through or over think it... now is the time to listen to your heart, your gut, your Spirit.

And according to forecast posted at The Power Path School of Shamanism (www.thepowerpath.com):

"Even though it may be difficult to focus today and you may change your mind several times about what you are doing or what you wish to do, take some time today to stop everything and just be. Refrain from setting any kind of intentions or making to do lists.

This is a time for allowing at a deep level whatever it is that you need at this time whether it is healing, insight, clarity, rest, community, support, change, inspiration, clearing or movement. Be in the void and find a peaceful place to drop into where everything temporarily comes to a complete stop. From this place receive whatever it is you need. Be in gratitude."

A friend (LS) asked a great question the other day regarding creating or manifesting what you want, and I thought that it might be something that others are wondering about…

“How do you "just be" when you are figuring out what you "need"?”

Well you start by stopping the whole "figuring out" bit because that keeps you in your head. When you are in your head you are only dealing with the "known" and your past experiences.

You can also ask questions (not for you to answer but to allow answers to show up). This is a tool that I use just about every day.

You ask a relevant and positively worded question and let go of the attachment to:

1) answering it from your mind,

2) the outcome, and

3) how the answer will show up.

Some examples:

  • "I wonder what else is possible for me now?"
  • "How do I embrace my life as it is right now and open up to receiving abundance and a fulfilling career?"
  • "What magic and miracles are possible for me today?"
  • “How does it get any better than this?”

Notice using that I use the words "how do I" rather than "how can I."  "How do I" assumes it has already happened in some future state of you... "How can I" keeps you in the mind loop of trying to figure it out.

After you’ve asked your question (or questions), just allow the inspired thoughts, intuitive guidance and other "angelic nudges" to show up.

If you're feeling stressed about it, Breathe! Imagine breathing in peace and exhaling stress. It works. Yeah, really, it does!

Part two of the question was: “What if I don’t know what I want?”

Yeah, I hear that one a lot! Along with its cousins “I don’t know what I want” and “I can’t decide what I want.”

It has been my observation that we do indeed know what we want but we don't always believe that we can have it or that we deserve it (or some variation on that core belief).

So if we think what we want isn't really an option because it is somehow unattainable, unrealistic, or runs against a core belief we hold, it makes choosing something else instead of the thing we really, really want rather difficult.

Be courageous… Be honest with yourself and claim what you truly want.

And then notice all the stories you tell yourself (or others have told you) about why you can’t or shouldn’t, have it. Write them down. Ask “is this truth?” for each one. Also explore what you fear might happen if you do get what you want.

Create an enjoyable weekend. Allow yourself some play time, fun and laughter. Remove the "shoulds" from anything on your to-do list. And get comfortable "being in the void"-- which means stop trying to do it all! :) Be still or play... (yes, work can be play)

Love & blessings,

Karen

"amazing. And for this Libra rising, well, very tiemly. I was just thinking about my mom and how sometimes space is the best and only medicine in dealing with some of our issues. As Huffy wrote, if I'm confident in my boundaries, there's no need to get angry. I simply say, she has a right to form her own ideas and those don't have to overtake my voice. I have a strong enough push back that I can still be calm. But the space is vital, otherwise I would have to be more vocal and that seemed to feel like continuous fighting several years ago.And the more I create an internal boundary, pushing that barrier more so that I have greater internal freedom of mind, the more I don't slip into a role of taking care of anyone. They sense that increasing confidence, and I find them being more creative on their own. Not always an easy task, this."
