December is a 3 Vibration:

Self-Expression, Joy, Nurturing, Social Activity, Sensitivity, Fun, Creativity, Passion, Playfulness and Pleasure

November was more focused on relationships and finding ways to work together that are more of a win-win, benefitting each person involved.

December is a blend of self-nurturing and social activity.

Sometimes socializing might be an act of self-nurturing, sometimes it is stress-inducing. So be aware of how you feel when participating in social activities.

The 3 is the number of self-expression and joy. Passion, pleasure and playfulness are also part of the 3 vibration. And the 3 is full of creative energy as well.

So all month, let joy be your guide.

If you are faced with making a decision on something, choose the one that feel more joyful or “lighter.”

Self-expression is so important this month…

Speak honestly and with kindness… as your words (either spoken or written), can work for you – or can work against you depending on how you choose to express yourself.

When you come from a place of love and honesty your words and your energy will convey this in a kind and gentle way. Others can feel it and receive this without twisting it around.

When you come from a place of hurt or anger, your words and energy will deliver the message in a way that the other person feels the hurt and anger. Depending on the person and their own awareness level, this could be interpreted as an attack.

Simply be aware of this and be open to expressing yourself honestly rather than bottling it up and pretending everything is fine if it isn’t.

Whether you are going about your normal day, shopping for holiday gifts, decorating your house, or engaging in social activities…

...let joy be your guide.

Joyful Girl throwing confettiDoes this bring you joy?

If so, great… if no, then why are you doing it?

If you feel like you should be doing something (for whatever reason you give yourself), just be aware of it and ask yourself

“Is this something I truly must do, is this something I am responsible for?”

And be honest in your answer.

Most of our shoulds and obligations are self-imposed to mask a fear or belief or lack of some kind.

So if you are feeling stressed over your obligations this month, I invite you to ask yourself why you think you have to do it, or have to do it all.

  • What is the worst that could happen if you didn’t do it?
  • Who do you think you might upset or hurt?
  • Are you really trying to people-please rather than doing this from your heart?
  • What is the hidden need that this should or obligation is really attached to?
  • What brings you joy or pleasure?
  • What is your passion? What are you passionate about?
  • What would make you feel more passionate?
  • Will doing this really bring you joy? Will it bring the other person involved joy? If not, then what is the point?

Throughout the month there is an underlying vibration of 12  which resonates with indecision and self-sacrifice…

...be aware of this if it shows up in your life and switch it by doing or remembering something that brings you joy.

Be aware of this when doing your holiday shopping so you don’t get frustrated, over spend and buy impulsively.

When selecting gifts, instead of trying to find the perfect thing, instead think about what might bring the person joy.

We’re in a Fire sign – Sagittarius – for most of December, so you may feel like you have to take action, be busy and perhaps be impulsive.

Again, simply being aware of this can help you stay centered and balance this with positive action.

On December 22nd we move into the Earth sign Capricorn, which has a practical and focused energy to it. So it looks like we’ll finish out the month in a quieter more grounded way.

The Winter Solstice is on December 21st … which is a few days after the full moon on the 17th. That would be a good week to let go of all the shoulds in your life so you can bring in more joy!

And since we are still dealing with the energy of 6 for all of 2013 – continue to apply love to any situation that comes up.

If you are feeling stressed or anxious, stop, breathe and ask yourself, what would bring you joy.

Or stop and remember a joyful time in your life. Bring that memory in as strong as possible. Really feel it.

That can help you shift out of worry or stress.

You can also “go to gratitude” to shift the feeling. (see my post on Adopt an Attitude of Gratitude)

Questions to ask yourself or journal about this month:

  • Are you expressing yourself honestly?
  • Are you allowing time in your schedule for you to relax and nurture yourself?
  • How can you bring more joy into your life?
  • How can you include more fun in your day?
  • How can you express yourself creatively?
  • What can you do each week to pamper yourself?

Bottom Line:

Have fun. Express yourself honestly. Do things to nurture your body, mind and spirit. Do things that make you feel joyful.

And notice where you feel obligated or responsible. Be sure that you truly are responsible or obligated; if you really aren’t then let it go and do something else instead that feeds your spirit!

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, peace and abundance!

Love & blessings,
Karen
